Games, games and more games.

I’ve been playing Risen from release, I’m now level 23 in chapter 3 with 55hrs played.  Also I got and finished Uncharted 2 what a great game.  This week I’ve been playing a little game called Trochlight and I have been loving this also.

I really like Windows 7 but common, is this the best Microsoft can do for a commercial?

Steve Jobs

I’m glad he is back and doing well, he has done huge things for the tech industry throughout the years.  But I am so tired of Apple Fanboys I don’t know what I am doing.  I could be wrong but Steve only purchased Pixar in 1986 and that was after the huge success of Toy Story (1985).  I just got done listening to this week’s TWiT and the panel implied that Steve had a big hand in making Pixar the huge success it is today.  He purchased Pixar he didn’t run it to my knowledge, if I’m wrong please let me know.

You know a lot of people will say “But she was being rude”.  Yes she was but to win a match because of a judge giving Kim Clijsters a point man that sucks.

Been a while

So a lot of things have happened since the last time I posted.  I did make a new HTPC and I will post about that in a few days.  I have yet to start on my Windows Home Server but I hope to put that together in the next few months.  I did move to a new apartment, no more roommate for me.   I have decided to start up a small computer repair business called Triopta Computers we will see how well that goes.

I just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy.  I’m not sure how I feel about the book, I wouldn’t say I really liked it but it wasn’t horrible.  I came away from it feeling really down and depressed not a book you want to read if you want happy fun time.  Now I’m about half way through A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin.  This is the first book in a series called A Song of Ice and Fire.  I like it so far, after reading The Wheel of Time books by the late Robert Jordan I thought I could never read fantasy books again.  I read The Dragonlance saga books in high school and these seem juvenile now compared to WoT.  Martin’s books to me are in the same kind of grownup stile as WoT so I’m really enjoying them.

Dark Engine games

I am a huge fan of the game Thief, I recently built a pc just to run Dark Engine games, it consists of:

Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard

AMD 3700+ 939 CPU

1 gig of DDR ram

120 gig ATA hard drive

Sound Blaster Live! sound card

eVGA 7900GS PCIe video card

Windows XP Pro

Why did I build a box just to run Dark Engine games?  Because on newer hardware fog doesn’t work in Thief games and I want to play some of the new fan missions like Mission X.  No it’s not sexy but it works.
